About Me
Hey there, I'm Alex, a husband and father of two amazing children. Formerly a perfectionist, I'm now on a journey to seek truth, inner wisdom, and live to my full potential.
After 26 years of destructive and addictive behaviors, I discovered the power of meditation, breathwork, cold plunges, and unlimited potential. On May 12, 2021, I gave up my excessive drinking habit before it ruined my life and started employing daily practices that revealed my true, authentic, limitless self. I credit the book "Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art" by James Nestor for starting me on my breathwork journey.
I began practicing the Wim Hof Method and explored rebirthing, holotropic breathwork, breath of fire, shamanic breathwork, and other types of breathwork. Each time I practiced these techniques, I noticed a significant shift in my emotional, mental, and physical well-being. Then I found Oxygen Advantage and immediately signed up for the Functional Breathing Instructor Course to add breathwork education backed by science. I've also completed other courses from well-known teachers such as Dan Brule and Peter Litchfield.
I currently teach Functional and Integrative Breathwork to my community, parolees, local high schools, elementary schools, athletes, patients suffering from chronic pain, and anyone who likes to breathe! I have also shared breathwork at private retreats, corporate wellness programs, and non-profit agencies. I offer one-on-one and group in-person instruction in the San Francisco Bay Area, USA, (Benicia, CA) and virtual sessions on Zoom.
The day I changed my breathing was the day my life changed. Breathwork has infused my life with new energy and purpose, and I'm especially passionate about sharing what I've experienced with my community, locally and globally.
