About Me
Sam Horton – Functional Breathing Instructor, Restorative Pilates, Strength and Pelvic Health Coach
I’m Sam, and I run Fitness Dynamics in Cumbria, UK and online. I help adults to move, breathe, and live with more ease.
With over 30 years’ experience in the fitness industry, I specialise in restorative Pilates, strength training, pelvic health, hypermobility and breathwork, with a particular focus on women’s health in midlife — while also supporting men who want to move, breathe, and feel better. I work both in person and online, offering supportive, practical tools for everyday wellness.
My journey into breathwork began through Pilates, where I saw how dysfunctional breathing patterns affect posture, stress, and pelvic floor function. I later co-developed a class called Exhale with Dr Julia Jones (founder of Holidity), which deepened my appreciation of breath as a powerful tool for mental and physical health. This led me to train in the Oxygen Advantage® method — a science-based approach to functional breathing that helps people optimise energy, focus, and resilience.
I now integrate Oxygen Advantage techniques into my Breathe and Release workshops, retreat days, and corporate wellness sessions — teaching simple, effective practices to calm the nervous system, improve sleep, reduce stress, and support overall vitality.
I’ve also completed training in Trauma-Informed Coaching and as a Fascia Fitness Trainer, which together influence my calm, inclusive, and body-aware approach. Releasing tension and improving fascial mobility can create more freedom in the body — and this directly supports better breathing, posture, and movement patterns.
Whether you want to breathe easier, manage fatigue and stress, or feel calmer and more in control of your wellbeing, I’d love to help you build healthy, sustainable habits through movement and breath.
