Module 1: Stages in a Woman's Life Required
In this first module Maria will walk you through the stages of a women's hormonal life and discuss hormones. Maria will then guide you through a practical breathing assessment exercise.

Module 2: About Breathing Required
In this module, Fleur will help you understand the importance of your breathing system. She will lead you through the functions of the nose, talk about Nitric Oxide, the diaphragm and how breathing affects other systems of your body. Then Maria will take you through a correct breathing exercise.

Module 3: Menopause and Brain connection Required
This module is about how menopause can influence your brain. Maria will guide you through this important information and then Fleur will lead you through a practical breathing exercise.

Module 4: The Biochemistry of Breathing Required
In this module you will learn about the biochemical dimension of breathing. You will understand the importance of carbon dioxide, and how hyperventilation feeds into menopause symptoms and sleep issues. You will also learn how to take your BOLT score and practice an exercise to help you optimize your breathing pattern and reduce hyperventilation.

Module 5: Menopause and the Connection with Breathing Difficulties Required
This module is about understanding the changes that can occur to our breathing when going through the menopause. Both Maria and Fleur will talk about lung function decrease from different important aspects.

Module 6: The Changes we Experience through our Menopausal Transition and Sleep Required
In this module, Maria will explain the many changes one can experience when going through menopause and Fleur will discuss the importance of tongue posture and sleep disordered breathing.Then Maria will guide you through a 20 minute relaxation exercise.

Module 7 - Navigating through Menopause and your Autonomic Nervous System Required
In this last module Fleur will help you understand how your breathing influences your Autonomic Nervous System – fight/flight mode or relax/ digest mode and Maria will help you navigate through Menopause looking at possible triggers. You will have two practical exercises; humming and small breath holds – two super little exercises that help in many ways.
