Sean is a native of Ennis, County Clare who graduated with a BSc Hons in Physiotherapy from Northumbria University, Newcastle Upon Tyne, England. Prior to undertaking his physiotherapy degree Sean studied Physiology and Health Science in IT Carlow.
He established Excel Physiotherapy Clinic in 2010 & has clinics in both Ennis and Shannon.
He is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP) and Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports and Exercise Medicine (CPSEM). Sean also is a trained DMA Pilates instructor and uses Pilates regularly as part of his practice.
Sean specialises in hands on physiotherapy providing assessment, treatment and advice following injury, surgery and painful conditions. Over the years he has developed a keen interest in treating neck, back and shoulder pain along with a strong passion for all sports related injuries.
Sean has worked overseas in England and Melbourne, Australia and has completed numerous post graduate studies in Ireland, England and Australia in Dry Needling, Kinesio Taping, Rocktape, Clinical Pilates, Sports Medicine along with Oxygen Advantage breath training.
He has a great enthusiasm for his job, helping people recover from injury & illness through treatment, rehabilitation and education.
Sean has developed a strong interest in breathing efficiency, the evolution of breathing & the science behind improving breathing to enhance quality of life, assist in recovery from pain and injury and the power of breathing in improving sports performance.
Sean sees patients face to face for Physiotherapy consultations and incorporates oxygen advantage training in his practice.
