This complete bundle gives you the full Oxygen Advantage® system — the Breathing for Yoga programme combined with the Advanced Instructor Training, rebuilt in 2026 into 36 structured modules, each with new supporting videos, module assessments, and the latest peer-reviewed science referenced throughout.

  • Level 1 focuses on functional breathing within a yoga context — bridging the ancient art of pranayama with the science of breath across three core dimensions: biochemical, biomechanical, and psychophysiological. You'll learn to assess breathing patterns, teach safe and effective breathwork in your classes, and guide students in techniques that restore balance and calm.
  • Level 2 takes things further — training breath as a tool for mental and physical performance. You'll apply breath-hold protocols and performance breathing techniques to build resilience, sharpen focus, and support athletic capacity under pressure.

Across 100+ hours of self-paced modules and live sessions with Patrick, you'll build deep, practical expertise in the Oxygen Advantage® method. To achieve certification, you must score a minimum of 80% on assessments and submit 3 case studies reviewed by the Oxygen Advantage team.

Breathing for Yoga introduces the essential principles of functional breathing and the Oxygen Advantage® approach within a yoga context. Practical Demonstrations with Tiger Bye & Satu Chantal explores hands-on application of functional breathing principles. Does this course include both Level 1 Yoga and Level 2 Advanced Certification

Yes. Completing the course certifies you to work with both Levels of Oxygen Advantage Instructor Training , both Level 1 Breathing for Yoga Training and Level 2 Advanced Breathing as part of the Oxygen Advantage® system. As well as the foundational tools, you will also develop the advanced skills required to safely coach performance breathing, breath holds, and resilience protocols.

What is the difference between the Level 1 Functional Breathing course and the Level 1 Breathing for Yoga course?

The Level 1 Functional Breathing course takes a broad approach, focusing on breathing for everyday health, recovery and wellbeing across any setting — making it suitable for the widest range of people and professionals. The Breathing for Yoga course bridges ancient pranayama traditions with modern breathing science, making it ideal for those whose world is yoga. Both are excellent options for building strong foundational and functional breathing expertise. Around half the content overlaps between the two, and both provide a solid base for completing the Advanced Instructor Training at Level 2. If you complete one Level 1 Course and later decide you'd like to do the other, you can do so at a 50% reduction.

Are the immersive 7*2 hour zoom classes a required element

The 7*2 hour zoom classes are not a required element however we would strongly recommend that you attend or view one set of classes. These immersive sessions allow you to train directly with Patrick McKeown to gain a deeper understanding of the material , ask questions and connect with a network of like-minded people from around the world

How long does it take to complete the Advanced Certification Programme

The programme is completely self-pace. With focus, students complete certification within 8–12 weeks, depending on how quickly they progress through the modules, practical assignments, and live sessions. The structure is flexible, allowing you to learn at your own pace.
