Breathe Light
The Breathe Light exercise involves breathing less air than normal. This creates a tolerable air hunger — the feeling that you would like to breathe more air. It’s a little like putting your body on an “air diet.”
The exercise works by normalizing your breathing biochemistry. The feeling of air hunger signifies that carbon dioxide is accumulating in your blood. Carbon dioxide is instrumental in oxygenation of the body.
Regular practice of this exercise is a great way to increase your BOLT score and quieten your mind.
The exercise is suitable for everyone, except those with a serious health condition or in the first trimester of pregnancy.
