As a child my breathing was always through my mouth. Turned out my nose was always congested because of allergies and hay fever. I remember I was very anxious and feeling insecure. At the age of 14, after another asthma attack following a hilarious movie of Louis De Funès (it was the 70s), I taught myself diaphragmatic breathing. Never had an asthma attack since.

After a long career in IT, I have since 2015 my own practice as certified yoga teacher, mindfulness and compassion trainer and stress and burn-out coach. Breathing is a common part in all of these.

In my personal coaching I combine relaxation techniques, functional breathing exercises, mindfulness exercises, psychoeducation on neurology (e.g. polyvagal theory) and day-to-day practical exercises to help people better cope with the stress that life inevitably brings.

I focus on adults experiencing stress and desiring a better balance in life.

My practice is in Bierbeek (Belgium), in between the cities of Leuven and Tienen. I offer face to face, online or walking coaching in the nearby Meerdaal forest. My mother tongue is Flemish (Dutch) but also can coach in English and French.

I’m author of the books “Life sucks. Why?” and “Life sucks no more. How?”
