Inside the Málaga Master Instructor Gathering | Oxygen Advantage®
Early July, our new training centre in Vélez-Málaga hosted two trainings back to back — Buteyko, then OA Advanced Instructor — before Master Instructors from across the network gathered for a few extra days together.

Feedback across both groups landed in a similar place: strong satisfaction, real appetite for more hands-on practice time, and the same two practical notes — room acoustics, and clearer communication before people arrive.
Beyond the training room
Once the courses wrapped, the Master Instructor days took on a different shape entirely. Patrick walked the group through what's next for Oxygen Advantage — new accreditations with major fitness awarding bodies, and a first look at the upcoming Air Hunger documentary. Instructors shared what they're seeing in their own countries: breathing programs moving into schools, corporate stress and burnout work, mountain expedition preparation, and local education programs growing from free workshops into training thousands of students a year.
And because the centre sits five minutes from the Mediterranean, the welcome for arriving instructors was a boat trip — blue skies, good company, and a pod of wild dolphins that showed up completely uninvited.
There were swims in the sea, a hard-fought (and diplomatically undiscussed) Spain vs. Portugal football match, and, by more than one account, the closest thing to a holiday most of the group had taken in years.
