About Me
I am an Oxygen Advantage Advanced Instructor and a GP in the UK with over 15 years of clinical experience, working extensively with stress-related, emotional, and functional symptoms. My work in medicine has shown me how closely breathing, physiology, emotional state, and performance are linked - and how practical, research-based tools, often missing from mainstream care, can make a real difference to everyday life.
I’ve trained deeply in the science and practice of breathing, including detailed mechanics assessment, functional biomechanics retraining, behavioural aspects of breathing, and practical methods for influencing emotional regulation through physiology. I was drawn to Oxygen Advantage because it provides the missing piece in many approaches - structured, research-based CO2 tolerance training. This has a profound impact on breathlessness, endurance, how we feel, and overall performance. It also offers a clear, modular framework for integrating the key aspects of breathing training in a way that fits naturally into daily routines.
Most of my work is within the NHS, supporting patients and NHS professionals with stress, breathlessness, low energy, sleep disturbance, emotional difficulties, and functional symptoms. I also offer a small private caseload for anyone wanting to improve resilience, recovery, or performance through evidence-based breathing and physiology.
I aim to make this work practical, personalised, and grounded in what matters most to the people I work with. I offer in person sessions in Lancaster, and also offer sessions online.
