About Me
For over 20 years, I’ve worked as both an athletics coach and osteopath, helping people improve the way they move, perform, and recover. I remain endlessly fascinated by the human body—particularly how small improvements in movement efficiency, posture, and breathing can lead to significant gains in health, sport, and performance.
Sport has always been a huge part of my life. I competed in athletics from junior level through to masters competition, originally as a heptathlete before later specialising in pole vault. My passion for movement analysis began during my first degree in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition, where I developed a strong interest in biomechanics and performance. I later trained as an osteopath at the British School of Osteopathy in London (now Health Sciences University), before completing a Master’s degree in Osteopathic Sports Care. Alongside this, I have continued to expand my skill set through training in kinesiology taping, NLP, breathwork, and performance coaching.
I have also worked within medical teams at major international sporting events, including the 2012 Summer Olympics and the 2022 Commonwealth Games, further developing my experience working with athletes in high-performance environments.
My interest in breathing developed through both professional and personal experience. After years of reading Patrick McKeown’s work and exploring the relationship between breathing, movement, recovery, and performance, I eventually completed the Oxygen Advantage training myself. What began as curiosity quickly became a powerful addition to both my clinical and coaching work. Having personally experienced the challenges of transferring functional breathing techniques into endurance training, I understand both the science and the practical application behind the method.
Alongside the physical aspects of performance, I am also deeply interested in the role mindset plays in recovery, confidence, and athletic development. My training as an NLP Practitioner has given me additional tools to help clients improve focus, self-awareness, resilience, and performance habits—supporting lasting change both physically and mentally.
Today, I combine osteopathy, movement assessment, athletics coaching, mindset work, and Oxygen Advantage techniques to help clients improve breathing efficiency, running mechanics, recovery, and overall performance. My approach is practical, evidence-informed, and highly individual—whether working with competitive athletes, recreational runners, or anyone looking to move and feel better.
