About Me
Hi everyone, I am Emma Raby, a committed and passionate Group Exercise Instructor from Peterborough in the United Kingdom.
I am a Level 3 qualified Yoga Instructor, Level 3 Mat Pilates Instructor and Level 3 Supporting Participants with Menopause Instructor. I am also qualified in several Level 2 group exercise disciplines including Studio Resistance, Circuits & Exercise to Music.
After reading Patrick McKeown’s fascinating book ‘The Oxygen Advantage’, I was captivated by the power this free, everyday source of energy has to change our health and wellbeing. Going on to read his ‘Breathing for Yoga’ book and discovering real techniques that I knew could improve the breathing patterns of my class attendees, I decided to complete my Level 1 Oxygen Advantage Breathing for Yoga qualification.
Most fascinating for me is the misconception that Carbon Dioxide is a toxic gas, when in fact it can harness a sense of calm and improved health. In company with this, the differences in breathing biomechanics between men and woman are profound and there is so much women can learn about breathing challenges and changes during both the menstrual cycle and Menopause.
I am excited to share everything I have learnt as I continue to teach, but furthermore to support those who feel they may benefit from guided and supported breath training.
