About Me
James Jones is a mental performance coordinator for the Texas Rangers, former professional baseball player, and Advanced Oxygen Advantage Instructor who specializes in helping athletes build the physiological and psychological capacity required for high-level performance. After playing professional baseball for 15 years, James experienced firsthand how physical talent alone is not enough to sustain excellence under pressure. His career included multiple injuries, role transitions, and identity challenges, which ultimately shaped his approach to performance from the inside out.
James teaches a state-first performance model that integrates breathing, nervous system regulation, attention control, and identity-based mental training. He incorporates the Oxygen Advantage method to improve stress tolerance, breathing efficiency, recovery, and consistency under pressure. His work focuses on preparing the athlete’s system so skill access becomes reliable in high-demand environments. Oxygen Advantage became a natural fit within his framework because it bridges physiology and performance, allowing athletes to train calm, control, and resilience in a measurable and repeatable way.
James is based in Arizona, United States, and works both in person and online. He primarily serves competitive athletes, high performers, and organizations seeking sustainable performance rather than short-term motivation. His ideal clients are individuals who want to train their nervous system, build self-trust, and perform with clarity under stress.
