Karen is an Oxygen Advantage Functional Breathing Instructor based in Washington, DC, working with individuals, athletes, and professionals in high-pressure environments to improve breathing efficiency, focus, and recovery.
Her work focuses on correcting dysfunctional breathing patterns, improving CO₂ tolerance, and supporting performance under stress. She works with athletes, including teens, as well as executives and high performers looking to build resilience, sustain energy, and recover more effectively.
Karen also brings a nervous system-informed lens to her work, supporting clients with somatic practices to navigate chronic stress, ADHD, anxiety, and burnout. Her approach is structured, practical, and results-driven, with an emphasis on building capacity and creating measurable change.
She is also an internationally certified, trauma-informed Conscious Connected Breathwork facilitator, with additional training in Restorative Breathwork® (IAYT), Pranayama (YA), and Tension and Trauma Release Exercises (TRE®).
Before transitioning into this work, Karen built and led two successful businesses in advertising and communications, working globally to support women and marginalized communities. That background informs her direct, real-world approach with clients.
Karen offers both in-person sessions in Washington, DC and virtual sessions.
