About Me
Karie Marsh is an Advanced Oxygen Advantage Instructor and clinical doctor of speech-language pathology, specializing in airway health and performance breathing. Based in Ventura, California, she is the owner and founder of Functional Airway Lab, where she integrates clinical expertise with evidence-based breathing science to help athletes and active individuals optimize respiratory efficiency and control.
With specialized training in breathing pattern disorders, exercise-induced laryngeal obstruction (EILO), and exercise-induced asthma, Dr. Marsh bridges breathing rehabilitation and performance-based training — supporting clients in improving airflow, reducing symptoms during exertion, and enhancing endurance, recovery, and resilience. She is also certified in the Buteyko Breathing Method, bringing a comprehensive, multi-framework approach to respiratory health.
At Functional Airway Lab, she works with athletes across a wide range of sports, as well as individuals seeking improved breathing control, stress regulation, and efficiency during high-intensity training and everyday movement. Her approach focuses on functional breathing at rest, during exertion, and under pressure.
Through individualized assessment, targeted training, and education, Dr. Marsh helps clients build sustainable breathing habits that support both health and performance. To learn more or schedule a consultation, please reach out.
