About Me
I am a swim and mental coach and I work mainly with adults of all levels, from beginners to triathletes, distance and open water swimmers and improvers who want to get better and more efficient in the water. Quite a few of the swimmers struggle with breathing…
For beginner swimmers it’s so important to apply the correct breathing mechanics to keep the nervous system calm.
More advanced swimmers often have the problem of being breathless after a couple of lengths in the pool. This is usually the result of an inefficient swimming technique paired with dysfunctional breathing.
As an Oxygen Advantage Instructor, I can address these issues and help the swimmers understand how they can improve their breathing in swimming with land-based exercises.
Adding my knowledge as mental coach I can guide competitive swimmers, triathletes and open water swimmers to not only enhance their swimming performance but also improve their focus, energy levels, sleep quality and endurance.
I can also help swimmers with anxiety and/or panic attacks (regardless of where these come from) and give them the tools to control their breath and calm their nervous system.
My personal experience with Oxygen Advantage:
I am an open water and ice swimmer. With Oxygen Advantage I learnt to control my breath and thereby my swimming during unpleasant and stressful conditions; it calms the nervous system and keeps stress-reactions in the body in check.
I coach face to face in 1:1 lessons in the endless pool as well as remotely.
I work with:
- beginners, also phobics
- swimmers with panic attacks or anxiety in water
- adult improvers who want to become more efficient
- triathletes who want to maximise their performance
- open water swimmers who want to swim longer distances with less effort
- competitive swimmers who want to bring their best to the pool
