About Me
My journey with breathing didn’t start as a career. It started with my own health. Over years, I experienced several health challenges, including frozen shoulder on both sides and recurring digestive issues. They made me increasingly curious about connection between how we breathe, how we move, how we respond to stress, and how our body functions as a whole.
My first encounter with conscious breathing goes back to 2008. At the time, I explored breathing practices and experienced for myself how something so simple could influence the way I felt. But life moved on, and so did I. Breathing remained somewhere in the background rather than becoming a consistent practice.
For almost 20 years, I worked in the international corporate world. Work, deadlines, travel, family, exercise, this familiar rhythm of trying to fit everything into a busy life. In 2021, I came back to Breath. This time, I wanted to understand and practice breathing deeply.
Yoga became an important part of that journey. I trained as a Yoga Alliance RYT 200 yoga instructor with YOGABODY®, and became a certified Breath Coach. That eventually brought me to Oxygen Advantage®, where I found physiological and science-based approach to breathing and an amaizing community that I had been looking for.
Today, as an Oxygen Advantage® Advanced Breathing Instructor, I bring these different worlds together through Breathia Coaching.
I teach practical functional breathing with a focus on nasal breathing, diaphragm function, breathing efficiency, CO₂ tolerance and nervous-system regulation and, importantly, how to make these principles part of everyday life.
I work with professionals and organisations on breathing for stress regulation, focus, energy, sleep, recovery and sustainable performance. After almost two decades in corporate life, I understand that a breathing practice only works if it can survive a calendar full of meetings, deadlines and family commitments.
I have a particular interest in Women’s Wellbeing, including breathing for hormones, recovery and exercise across a menstrual cycle, perimenopause and menopause.
I also work with physically active people who want to improve breathing efficiency, CO₂ tolerance, endurance and recovery. My background in paranayama allows me to connect functional breathing physiology with movement, body awareness.
Music is another field were I connect better breathing and sound. I have played piano for many years. Today, I bring this passion into my Live Piano & Breath events, combining guided breathing, live piano and stories behind music pieces to explore deep connection between breath, body and sound.
My philosophy today is simple: we don’t need to add breathing to our lives. We’re already doing it all day. We can simply learn to do it much better 24/7!
I offer individual Breath coaching, group programmes, corporate interactive seminars. Based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Available across Europe for workshops and events, and online worldwide.
