My name is Patrick Rein, M.D. I am a medical doctor specialising in urology and a Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU). Working in a demanding clinical environment, I was looking for a way to create balance, improve resilience, and manage both physical and mental stress. This search led me to breathing practices—and eventually to the Oxygen Advantage® method.
What began as a personal tool quickly developed into a deep professional interest. I became fascinated by the physiological impact of breathing on performance, recovery, and overall health. To combine my medical background with practical breathing science, I completed the Oxygen Advantage® training.
I am a passionate trail runner and ski tourer, and I also practise Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. These sports place high demands on endurance, control under pressure, and efficient recovery—areas where the Oxygen Advantage® method has had a significant impact on my performance and well-being.
Today, I teach breathing techniques that are grounded in science, shaped by real-life experience, and applicable both in sport and everyday life. My goal is to help others use their breath more effectively to improve performance, manage stress, and build long-term health and resilience
