About Me
After realizing amazing transformations in her own heath using Oxygen Advantage techniques Peggy became an Advanced Oxygen Advantage Instructor. She was a Professor of Biology at Michigan State University and is currently a 500 RYT who has offered yoga classes and Rope Wall Yoga workshops for 10 years totaling 500 hours of instruction. Her primary training derives from two Certified Iyengar Yoga Instructors, Ruth Fisk and Bryan Legere.
Peggy uses functional breathing to assist various issues in health, focus, and athletic performance ranging from sinus blockage to anxiety and heart rate variability. Her own breathing practice has resolved problems that eclipsed traditional treatment methods. Peggy views yogic breathing, pranayama, and functional breathing through two different lenses and believes they offer unique advantages. However, in the words of Guruji Iyengar “The king of the mind is the breath” can be applied to both. Functional breathing “gets us out of our head” (Patrick McKeown) making the breath the king of the mind. Through the application of breath tools from Oxygen Advantage Peggy’s goal is to help others enhance their health and focus, increase their performance and empower their lives through functional breathing techniques.
Outside of yoga, Peggy wishes she could spend more time scuba diving. She also loves swimming, cross country skiing, hiking, music, cooking and growing lots of vegetables in the garden.
