Hi. I’m an Oxygen Advantage Certified Functional Breathing Instructor based in Wellington, New Zealand. I also have degrees in law and history, and a graduate diploma in psychology.

I teach functional breathing techniques that help improve sleep, reduce anxiety, eliminate shortness of breath, boost athletic performance, manage neurodiverse conditions (e.g. ADD), and enhance overall well-being. Whether you’re a busy professional, an athlete, or someone struggling for breath who wants to improve your quality of life, my sessions are designed to meet you where you are. I offer online consultations and for people in the Wellington area can also meet for in-person sessions.

After practicing law for nearly seventeen years, I experienced burnout—a challenge I’m sure many can relate to. In 2014, I started practicing Iyengar yoga and I began teaching it in 2022. A transformative retreat in Sri Lanka, where I read James Nestor’s Breath, opened my eyes to the real power of effective breathing. It was then that I discovered Patrick McKeown’s Oxygen Advantage techniques and came to realise how poor breathing was having a negative impact on my life.

Oxygen Advantage techniques have improved my sleep, mental well-being, and overall health. They have been pivotal in managing my anxiety and ADD.

I am a keen disc golfer and when I was much younger I represented New Zealand at the World Ultimate Championships in 1997, 1999, and 2002. Following that I coached national teams at the 2006 and 2016 World Champs so I also understand the demands that competitive sports place on our bodies.
