7 Days to Functional Breathing
Day 5 / 7
Your First Practice: Breathe Light
Time to put it into practice. Stay until the end of the video for a follow-along demonstration with Patrick.
Today's practice
Follow along with Patrick for a few minutes. Aim for a small, tolerable air hunger: not too little, not too much.
Key points
- Breathe Light means gently softening your breath and taking in slightly less air.
- A mild air hunger is your sign you're doing it right. It should never feel stressful.
- You might notice more saliva, warmer hands or a calmer feeling. Notice them, but don't chase them.
Safety note: Breathe Light should always feel comfortable. If it becomes stressful, return to normal breathing and start again more gently. If you have a medical condition or are pregnant, check with your doctor first.
