7 Days to Functional Breathing
Day 6 / 7
Breathing for Better Sleep
Your breathing doesn't switch off at night. Here's how to bring what you've learned to bed with you.
Tonight's practice
Before bed, close your mouth, breathe through your nose and do a few minutes of gentle Breathe Light. Notice how you feel in the morning.
Key points
- The breathing habits you build during the day follow you into the night.
- Waking up with a dry mouth can be a sign you breathed through your mouth while asleep.
- A few minutes of gentle Breathe Light can help settle your body and quiet a busy mind before sleep.
Safety note: If you snore loudly, or someone has noticed pauses in your breathing at night, speak to your doctor. These can be signs of a sleep disorder worth checking.
