She studied piano and singing at the National Conservatory of Athens, from where she graduated with honors/distinction and prizes of excellence. She won two scholarships to continue her studies in singing in New York. She has won singing prizes and awards in international competitions and worked with prestigious opera singers and conductors.
Her professional career as a soloist soprano includes performances, concerts and recitals with: the National Opera of Greece, opera/concert houses in Europe, in United States and in former USSR countries.
Gina Poulou leads a voice teaching career for over fifteen years providing private and group voice tutoring, teaching in renowned Greek conservatories, preparing actors and singers for theater / musical productions as well as coaching singers in TV voice shows.
She is a full duly elected member of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing, USA). She has introduced to Greek performers the new technique YogaYourVoice, which combines yoga postures, breathing and singing. Breathing is an essential tool for singers, so she is a certified Functional Breathing instructor.
She teaches both online and face to face and her clients include everybody who uses voice as a work tool, or whoever wants to improve their voice.
