With background as a collegiate athlete and sport coach, I have always demonstrated a keen interest in understanding the mind-body connection, and how that complex, intricate relationship can impact how humans think, feel, and act while performing (whether that be in sport, the performing arts, a high-pressure leadership role, or public speaking scenario). This interest and passion took me to the University of Denver where I obtained a Master’s Degree in Sport & Performance Psychology.
I founded Embark Mental Performance with a mission to equip athletes, exercisers, and performing artists with mental tools scientifically proven to enhance crucial skills such as confidence, motivation, attentional control, emotion and arousal regulation, and mindfulness. These tools, when combined with dialogue surrounding mental blocks and identity exploration, empower my clients to step into the driver’s seat on their journey and perform with more freedom, joy, and confidence.
The Oxygen Advantage tremendously complements the mental performance consulting methods I utilize. While the foundation of my teaching and collaboration with clients consists of strengthening mindfulness and mental skill development, incorporating OA functional breathing knowledge and exercises fits seamlessly with supporting client goals such as managing performance anxiety, building emotion regulation, and sharpening present-moment focus.
I currently reside in Middletown, Delaware. Services are offered both virtually and in-person for individuals as well as teams/groups. I’m eager to work with athletes, exercisers, and performing artists of all skill levels, as well as individuals in high-performing roles, including but not limited to first responders and active members of the military.
