Based in the Highlands of Scotland, Adam is an Oxygen Advantage Advanced Instructor, Freediver, and Kendo Instructor/ Dojo Leader.

Back in the late 1990s and early 2000s he worked as a Personal Fitness Trainer in London, while qualifying as an Acupuncturist. During this time he was also teaching Meditation at the Tibetan Embassy in St. John’s Wood, He was a Tri-Athlete, Marathon Runner and was practising Ju-Jitsu and Aikido.

As a Freediver and Martial Artist, he has first hand knowledge and experience of the importance of linking breath with movement, and teaches that integration as a core component.

The Freediving gave him a much more profound appreciation of breathing, and gave him access to breath-hold training, which he found more effective than meditation. He wanted to extend this work with a new breathing protocol, which is where Oxygen Advantage became relevant. OA emphasizes the importance of under-breathing and CO2 tolerance; both of which being critically important to sports performance and functional breathing in daily life. He has applied this work to his Kendo Students and noticed increased mental robustness, physical endurance, and calmness under pressure.

He will be covering the Highlands region and teaching half day courses in Inverness, Fort William, and surrounding towns. He teaches online, but prefers to do this after the half day course has been attended. He has a vast reserve of knowledge and experience harvested from decades of work in this field, and teaches people who are looking to improve their sports performance, either as amateur or professional. He prefers to work with groups, since the dynamic boosts moral and motivation, but knows that some people benefit from personal training and can provide this service level.
