Marcos is the nine-time recipient of the Teaching Excellence Award at the IE-Business School and a core member of the Center for Creative Leadership/Wharton team that earned the prestigious Excellence in Practice Award by the European Foundation for Management Development. Since 2001, he has worked with senior executives and multidisciplinary teams in 31+ countries across four continents and 16 industries for over 100 companies. He also served the DG ECFIN team at the European Commission in Brussels. His work focuses on improving the well-being and resilience of executives and teams to reach improved performance.

Marcos is Senior Faculty at The Center for Creative Leadership EMEA and has lectured in Wharton Executive Education (USA), Ashridge Business School (UK), and Skolkovo Business School (Russia). Since 2015 his class on the neuroscience of emotional engagement at the Brown Univ/IE B-School EMBA and the IE GXMBA programmes has been highly acclaimed by students.

He resides in Madrid, Spain, and is passionate about martial arts. Since 2010 practices Heki Ry Chikurin-ha Kyudo (Japanese Archery), https://kyudo.org/index.php/en/ under Shibata Kanjuro Sensei XXI generation of bowmakers to the Emperor of Japan. He has been married to Irish women since 1997.
