While exploring different breathing techniques and methods, I read Patrick McKeown’s books and watched his TEDx talk. I found that the Oxygen Advantage program aligned beautifully with the way I teach yoga, my interest in science and research, and my desire to help others feel better. I love the framework Oxygen Advantage provides for assessing breathing, addressing particular challenges, and monitoring progress.
These days, I teach professional athletes, older adults, the general public, and people dealing with anxiety and illness, both in person and online. Discussion of breathing and breath practices are an important part of every session. I aim to make yoga and breathing practices approachable and accessible for all.
Before becoming a full-time yoga/mindfulness/breathing teacher, I worked as a corporate communicator, journalist, university professor, editor and researcher. I have a PhD in media research.
