I have worked in the theatre for over 15 years as an actor, director, movement coach, and fight choreographer. I am also a university lecturer in actor movement, performance, and stage combat. I have an eclectic background in psycho-physical acting, especially Grotowski Technique and Viewpoints. I love teaching performers to move and see their physicality and breathing as an integral instrument of artistic expression.
In addition to my background in performance, I am an avid martial artist. I hold a black belt in Chi Tao Chuan Gung Fu and a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and have trained in many other disciplines, including Kickboxing, Systema, Kali, Jeet Kune Do, Silat, and Fencing. Through my martial arts training I was introduced to breathwork, qigong, and meditation and it completely changed my life. I believe these practices benefit absolutely every aspect of our lives, whether it be exercise, sport, performance, or simply getting through the workday and enjoying life.
I offer 1-to-1 and group teaching to artists, athletes, movers, and anyone else looking to improve their performance and overall wellbeing.
