About Me
From Singapore, Dr Sim is Director of Embodied Inpsych. He is a Chartered Psychologist, Registered Coaching Psychologist, and a Registered Counsellor. He has provided counselling services at the National University of Singapore, Singapore University of Technology and Design, and the Ministry of Education. He held the position of Senior Counsellor in SUTD and Senior Manager/Counsellor in MOE. He has clinical experience in supporting clients with depression, anxiety, obsessive and compulsive disorders, relationship issues, eating disorders, trauma and loss, and stress management issues.
Dr Sim's other professional credentials include, Oxygen Advantage Functional Breathing Instructor, HeartMath Certified Trainer and Practitioner, Licensed HeartMath Stress and Well-being Assessment Provider, Certified Narrative Therapist, Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider, Certified Stress Management Consultant, and Certified Adult Educator awarded by the WDA (Singapore).
Dr Sim uses an integrated approach that is informed by evidence-based frameworks that include, Oxygen Advantage, HRV Biofeedback Therapy, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Polyvagal Theory, EMDR, Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Time Perspective Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Ericksonian Hypnosis, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
