Jay Golden is Regional Director of the Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for Region II, which includes New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.  

He received his BA from Brooklyn College, MA from the New School for Social Research, and was a Ph’D candidate in social psychology at Harvard University, where he conducted research in school desegregation.  Since 2015, Mr. Golden has also served as an Executive Coach, Executive Mentor, and Mentor Coach for the Federal Government. 

To date, he has served as an Executive Coach for over 300 federal executives in 35 Federal agencies throughout the United States, accumulating over 3000 coaching hours.  He has also served as a Mentor Coach for over 50 certified coaches as well as coaches attaining certification in the Federal Government. Mr. Golden is certified by the International Coach Federation (ICF) as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and ICF Registered Mentor Coach.   

He is a member of the ICF New York City Chapter and has previously served on their Membership Committee. As an Executive and Mentor Coach, he is a member of the International Coach Federation, the Federal Coaching Network, the Treasury Executive Institute, and EPA’s National Coaching Program.  Mr. Golden also provides pro bono coaching services for the following veterans organizations: Hiring Our Heroes (US Chamber of Commerce) and Stand Beside Them.

To further assist his clients in achieving their goals, Mr. Golden was trained and certified as a Consulting Hypnotist by the National Guild of Hypnotists in 2018 and certified as a Functional Breathing Instructor by the Oxygen Research Institute in 2022.  Mr. Golden is available to assist clients online or face to face.
