As for my background, I am an Australian Physiotherapist working on the Gold Coast, Queensland. I work closely with two main groups; Veterans and people with Fibromyalgia. The OA method is very applicable to both groups, and I use it mostly for activation of the vagus nerve and connection of mind to body. Some clients also have various health concerns that affect their breathing, and the exercises are great for improving their breathing capacity.
Veterans work: I have been working with veterans for almost 4 years now, face to face, on the Gold Coast, Queensland, and Northern Rivers, New Sound Wales in Australia.
Fibromyalgia: More recently, my business partner (a Psychologist) and I have written a pain program for people with Fibromyalgia, and we plan to start running the course from next Month, before expanding our offering to other pain groups, chronic fatigue groups, and for people under-going cancer treatment. This program is online and offered in Australia. We have incorporated breathwork into our program for education, tools to activate the parasympathetic nervous system and homework exercises to keep them engaged.
