Changing the way you sit, stand, walk, lay down and breathe, will change the way you feel. Better sleep, less pain, quicker recovery, limited down time and the pain is alleviated.
My Practice covers a wide variety of techniques, which currently include Oxygen Advantage Functional Breathing, Cranial, Visceral, Movement Analysis, Connective Tissue Release and Swedish Massage.
My work is called Orthopedic massage and involves therapeutic assessment, manipulation and movement of locomotors soft tissue to reduce pain and dysfunction. Restoring structural balance throughout the body allows us to focus on both prevention and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal dysfunctions.
After listening to your requests and needs we explore ways of relieving pain and discomfort while supporting action that prevent reoccurrence. The underlying principle for using any given combination of techniques is working with what I call “Fixed Points.” Fixed points are: fixations in the human body that cause dysfunction in the mechanics of your body, and which have the potential of release. This release of fixations can increase your range of motion, decrease your pain, and facilitate your awareness of the holding patterns within your body.
Finding these fixed points requires several methods of analysis. In combination with locating the fixed points within your physical structure, a focus is placed on discovering how you developed these fixed points. We also work together to develop behavior that can contribute to supporting the release of your fixed points and prevent reoccurrence.
