My name Matthew Furlong and I grew up in a small town in New Brunswick, Canada. I was never a very active kid growing up, and was most likely a mouth breather, just like most kids. It wasn’t until I was in my 30’s that I found yoga, which was a good introduction to nasal breathing. After regaining my health, I took my 200 hour and 300 hour Yoga teacher training in 2022, I learned lots of different breathing techniques and pranayama’s, and how they affect the body in mind to a degree, but something was missing…..Then I found The Oxygen Advantage. I would like to merge the two practices within my classes to give my students a little more knowledge and tools of how to use the breath through all of life.
I now reside in Calgary, AB. I am currently teaching at a studio, and potentially online soon. I have students of all ages and levels come to my class, so I am comfortable with all clients.
