Michael has been a licensed and practicing physical therapist since 1996, as well as evolving his practice into Health Performance Coaching, which takes a Whole Individual/Holistic perspective into consideration with every case he consults. His academic background includes college degrees in Human Movement Studies, Physical Therapy, and Human Nutrition. He was also board certified as an orthopedic clinical specialist (OCS) by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. He was one of the first American physical therapists to go through the CHEK Practitioner training program by the CHEK Institute in California. He also has several years of continuing education with the Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) in Lincoln, Nebraska. He combines his approach with what he learned from the Oxygen Advantage Advanced Instructor Training program and teaches a class he calls “The Restorative Breath & Movement” class, in which he teaches at his office in Clermont, Florida.
Michael owns Jocson Physical Therapy & Training, located in Clermont, FL, offering one-on-one physical therapy, personal training, small group personal training, outdoor yoga and group fitness classes, and customized, individualized Health intensive retreats. Along with his wife, Mimi, they also lead annual retreats hiking the mountains of Peru (which is complemented by the Oxygen Advantage teachings of simulation of high altitude training). He is available for in-person and remote virtual consultations.
