Having worked in the U.S. healthcare system for over a decade, I can tell you it’s a system that prioritizes pharmaceuticals and invasive procedures over everything else. Natural approaches to health and wellness are rarely mentioned. I have never witnessed a physician discuss dysfunctional breathing, or the benefits of nasal breathing, with a patient. The emphasis on the healing power of breathwork has been mostly absent from Western medicine.
I was a chronic, dysfunctional mouth-breather for much of my life until I read the Oxygen Advantage. I spent the next year focused on nasal breathing and adapting to a lighter, slower, and deeper breathing pattern – resulting in positive improvements in my sleep, anxiety levels, concentration, and breathlessness during physical exercise.
I am excited to teach others about the transformative Oxygen Advantage (OA) method. What I like about OA is that it’s based on science and real physiology. This is where my invaluable years of nursing come into play because it’s important for you to understand what’s happening in your body and why. Once you understand the OA principles, you will never go back to your old, dysfunctional breathing again.
