Sarah Deas is passionate about sharing traditional yoga practices with a modern influence. Her style of teaching integrates multiple techniques (movement, breath and meditation), resulting in a powerful and transformative experience. She has been teaching yoga, breathwork and sound meditation for the past 5 years in Toronto, Canada. She offers various classes and events throughout the city, and teaches weekly classes through Culture Athletics.

Sarah was first introduced to yoga in 2018 while working as a personal trainer and studying Holistic Nutrition. As an effort to expand her skill set, she signed up for a 200 hour yoga teacher training course in Kerala, India, specializing in Hatha, Vinyasa and Kundalini yoga.

Since then, Sarah graduated from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition (CNP), completed an additional 300hr YTT course at Ahimsa Yoga Studio, and in 2018, Sarah co-founded Culture Athletics and the Culture Athletics Studio. She has continued her studies further with a 30 hour pilates training and has recently become a certified Oxygen Advantage Functional Breathing Coach.

Despite a busy schedule, Sarah maintains a daily yoga and meditation practice. She recently completed her third 10 day Vipassana meditation, and in 2024 is hoping to return to Kerala, India for Ayurvedic healing at the Sivasoorya Ashram.
