In addition to being a certified Oxygen Advantage® Instructor, I am a level 2 BREATHE™ instructor under Dr. Belisa Vranich, RYT200, and Yoga Calm Youth instructor. My goal is to help kids, parents, teachers, and therapists learn how to breathe efficiently and effectively to tap into this resource when they need it most.
One of my favorite quotes is from mindfulness expert, Jon Kabat-Zinn who stated,
“You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn how to surf.”
My mission is to help kids and caregivers learn how to surf through the waves of life one breath at a time!
New times require new skills, and the best way to help the next generation learn how to self-regulate and learn about themselves is the breath. Kids respond to fun and engaging approaches to learning, so to meet this need, I created a multisensory breathing pillow called BE Buddy® to help make breathing fun!
The breath is a proactive approach to mental, physical, and emotional health, and with practice, kids will have this resource wherever they go. This lifelong skill will help kids manage stress, improve focus, boost performance and feel connected to themselves and others.
I work with children, parents, teachers, and therapists, both in-person & remotely (individual or group), who want to learn how to breathe better and feel better. My approach is casual, fun and focuses on functional breathing biomechanics, biochemistry, and the psychological influences of breathing habits.
